About this tool

Every upload limit is a little different — 47KB, 120KB, 275KB — and picking the nearest round preset either wastes quality headroom or risks going over. This tool skips presets entirely: type the exact KB number your form asks for and it searches quality and, if needed, dimensions until the result lands under that number.

It uses the same target-size search as the rest of the site, just with a free-entry field instead of a fixed list — so whether you need 33KB for an obscure exam portal or 275KB for a CMS upload, one tool covers it. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded to compress it.

Questions

Does my image get uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser — the file never leaves your device.

How is this different from the fixed 50KB/100KB/200KB tools?

Same engine, but you type any number instead of picking from presets — useful when your form's limit doesn't match a common round size.

What if my photo is already smaller than my target?

We'll enlarge it slightly (real upscaling, not padding) to use more of the size you asked for, rather than handing back a needlessly small file.

Which formats are supported?

JPG, PNG and WebP — output keeps your original format. PNG is lossless, so very tight targets rely on downscaling rather than quality reduction.
