About this tool

Many content management systems, forums and general upload forms cap files at 1MB purely as a sanity check against oversized phone photos, not because they need aggressive compression. This tool gets you comfortably under that limit while keeping the image visually identical to the original.

Because modern phone cameras often produce 3–8MB photos, a 1MB target usually only needs a light quality adjustment — dimensions rarely need to shrink at all.

Questions

Does my image get uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser — the file never leaves your device.

Can I target a size other than 1MB?

Yes, change the target field to any KB value your form requires.

Which formats are supported?

JPG, PNG and WebP — the output keeps your original format. Note that PNG is lossless, so very tight targets rely on downscaling rather than quality reduction.
