About this tool
Many application forms ask for a signature image at a specific small size — 50mm x 20mm is a common one. This tool crops your signature scan to that exact wide, short aspect ratio and fills the frame by default, rather than leaving whitespace around it — switch to Fit mode if cropping risks cutting off part of a wide signature. Output is always JPEG.
For the cleanest result, sign clearly on plain white paper, photograph it with good lighting, and center the signature roughly in the frame before uploading — the automatic crop is centered on the image, not the ink itself.
Questions
Will this crop off part of my signature?
The default Fill mode crops centered on the photo frame, not the ink — if your signature is wide or off-center, switch to Fit mode to keep it fully visible with padding instead.
What background works best?
Plain white or light paper with good, even lighting gives the cleanest result — matching the default white background color used for padding in Fit mode.
Is my signature uploaded anywhere?
No — cropping and resizing happen entirely on your device.
