About this tool
YouTube recommends 2560×1440px for channel banner art so it displays sharply across TV, desktop and mobile. Uploading an image at the wrong size means YouTube crops it automatically, sometimes cutting off logos or text near the edges. This tool scales your artwork to fit that exact canvas ahead of time by default, padding any leftover margin so the output is genuinely 2560×1440px — switch to Fill mode if you'd rather crop to fill the canvas with no padding.
Because the default fit preserves your image's aspect ratio rather than stretching it, text and logos keep their proportions — you just get to see exactly what you're uploading before YouTube touches it.
Questions
Will YouTube still crop my banner?
YouTube crops the safe area differently per device regardless of upload size — this tool just gets your file to the recommended canvas dimensions first.
What if my design isn't 16:9?
By default it fits inside the 2560×1440 box without stretching, padding any margin — switch to Fill mode to crop instead, or Stretch if exact dimensions matter more than proportions.
Is my artwork uploaded anywhere?
No — resizing happens entirely in your browser.
Is this a YouTube banner size converter?
Yes — drop in any image and it's converted to YouTube's exact 2560×1440px banner canvas automatically, no design software needed.
